Hand2Mind Literacy

My Students

I work with the first grade students. We are in a rural area with limited resources. At our Title I school, 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

I have our future leaders here in my hands, and it is important that I provide them with the foundation.

It is important for these students to be up-to-date on real world events and information. They just need the tools to be able to push themselves higher. They are eager to learn new things, and I am excited to teach them! With all their questions and curiosity, the sky is the limit!

My Project

This year has been very different with many changes. I am a virtual teacher for first grade at my Title 1, rural school in Georgia. My students are very eager to learn to read, as 1st grade lays the foundation for reading.

Receiving this hand2mind literacy hands-on kit, will provide my students with an engaging activity to do virtually!

Keeping my students engaged and having fun while learning is important to me. Being virtual makes this very limited and difficult. I want to provide my students more fun ways to learn literacy skills. This resource will provide a different way to learn by keeping them engaged as we work together to make the mystery colored pattern.
