My Project
Each year we host a big community event centered around literacy and STEAM. We invite all of our feeder elementary and middle schools to attend, and our students help staff the event. Each department creates a station with hands-on activities, demonstrations, and challenges that encourage teamwork and problem-solving.
This year, we've shifted the event to coincide with Halloween, so we need fun, education-related prizes for our HalloSTEAM Trunk-or-Treat.
We partner with a local church to provide a "Panther Closet" full of completely free hygiene items and new/gently used winter clothing. The library provides a huge collection of free books so that our community can fill their homes with books. Our students and staff bring their families, so it's a true Panther family affair.
