My Project

The most important component to a great classroom is classroom climate and culture. Each year, I look at ways to modify and improve our plan, based on my students. I have also learned over the years that it's better to keep things simple! Encouraging and motivating good behavior in class, helps increase attentiveness and participation.

I want to motivate my students by having a reward system that is interesting and popular for my students.

Everyday students will have a self monitoring behavior chart. Their daily behaviors and participation will earn a coin for our gum ball machine. The machine will be filled with all sorts of treats and trinkets that my students enjoy. All of these goodies will be used to fill the different machines we have as well as our new one. I wanted a variety of fun prizes that would appeal to the different interests of students.
