My Students

Our middle school has a thriving GUITAR program to help bring music to all students. These students learn to read music, strum rock songs, and play killer riffs. These students have won several contests including a meet-and-greet with Weezer, an autographed guitar from Collective Soul, and were recognized by the Country Music Association and Radio Disney with awards in 2017. The program has taught over 1,000 middle school students to play guitar over its years of existence. Guitar has been such a great tool in the hand of my students, and I look forward to continuing to improve upon my instruction on the instrument.

My Project

Teaching Guitar Workshops offers the best professional development for music teachers wanting to incorporate the guitar into their music classroom. The instructors offer super specialized instruction for teaching guitar that is truly unavailable anywhere else in the country. The school I teach at has a highly successful guitar program and I'm am constantly searching for essays to make it even better. Not only does this training offer incredible teaching strategies, but the networking that is afforded by this experience is priceless as well. I would appreciate any help you can give to help get me back to the most valuable professional development over ever received in my teaching career.
