Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creatives in the kindergarten through fifth grade. They are from the South Bronx and study music with me once or twice a week.

The 4th and 5th-grade students at our school are super excited to jump into playing guitar as well as performing as a whole band for our once a month community meeting performances this spring!

They work hard in rehearsals and support their band by giving good ideas on how we can arrange the songs, improve our sound, and make our performance better.

We hope you will help us by donating and/or spreading the word.

My Project

The 4th and 5th grades are beginning their guitar learning for this year as well as diving into more time with the keyboards in preparation for spring community meeting performances which happen once a month.

We need guitar picks as well as rechargeable batteries for our keyboards to help the students prepare for their upcoming performances.

3rd-grade is learning to play a Numberock math song as a band to perform in March. The 5th-grade is learning "Just Like Fire" by Pink to perform in April. The 4th-grade will perform their version of "Empire State of Mind" in May.
