My Project

My students love exploring and learning about the world around them. We grow plants in our classroom, and have a variety of ways to observe creatures from the ecosystem we live in. In the spring we raise Painted Lady caterpillars and watch them go through their metamorphosis become butterflies. I would love to add planting native plants to our school grounds and around the neighborhood to help increase the number of pollinator species the students see.

By making seed bombs and spreading a love and knowledge of native plants to help pollinators, my students will be learning about ways they can help the environment and teaching others about the importance of native plants.

The seeds and premade seed bombs, seed bomb materials, plastic bags, and other materials for this project will help my students do environmental science in a hands-on way.
