Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school's Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) has been thriving in the past 8 years! Students meet once every two weeks to create an inclusive and safe space for all. Last year, our student group was able to participate in city-wide workshops and get funding for each student to have their own sweatshirt. This allowed students to feel part of the group and feel connected to something larger.

We want to provide decorations for students who participate in the GSA.

This project leads to our school being a more caring and compassionate school for all students. All students benefit from having a safe space to feel part of a strong and thriving community, like that of the GSA. This project will also allow students to have decorations for PRIDE which also will help foster more compassion in our school as a whole.
