Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students from my school live in one of the poorest congressional districts in the country. Many of our students view coming to this public school as a way to escape their home lives. We try our best to provide students with access to diverse, fun learning programs, but with major budget cuts, we can no longer afford to fund student-centered projects. It has become increasingly difficult to offer character building education services to our large population of students with special needs.

My Project

The games requested have been picked to help students communicate needs and wants with one another while having some fun!

I am requesting interactive games for my students.

I want to gain confidence in themselves as well as interact with their peers peacefully.

Playing games will help the students to build a sense of community. The students will have more opportunities to communicate and collaborate with their peers. These skills will transfer to other learning areas such as problem-solving and other peer work. Playing games will also prepare them to one day become collaborating members of the society we live in.
