Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After two years of virtual learning, I am so grateful to be back in the classroom. This year I welcomed 30 third graders who were so eager to be back in school. Teaching during a pandemic has its challenges, but it also provides opportunities for growth. I want to provide an opportunity for my students to reflect and take the time to understand why their choices and actions affect their education. My project will provide my students with journals, books about growth mindset, and essential school supplies to enhance their journaling experiences like crayons, colored pencils, scissors, and bookmarks. This project will take my class to a whole new level of tapping into their social and emotional behavior.
