My Students

My classroom is full of many caring, energetic, and inquisitive Kindergarteners. They come from many diverse backgrounds which makes our class truly special. Each day they come to school with a willingness to learn, make mistakes, and grow from their experiences.

My Kindergarteners are avid learners and enjoy learning through play and exploration.

During Free Choice time, my students will often choose magnets and blocks to build with, cook in the Kitchen area, or practice their art and literacy skills in the Writing Center. I look forward to providing my students with a variety of cross-curricular activities and projects to enhance their learning experience in Kindergarten.

My Project

Kindergarten is all about growth and growing! It is a place where students can learn about any subject through play, discovery, observation, and exploration. Inviting live butterflies and fish into our classroom will bring learning to life.

To help my students grow their knowledge and spark a love of science as inquiry, ecology, and the outdoors, they'll need hands-on learning projects to make their learning experiences more concrete.

The butterfly gardens will help my students make sense of the life cycle of a butterfly in real time. They will see how a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly and truly understand the meaning of metamorphosis. The best part is that each student will get to release a butterfly!

The water garden aquarium will show my students how ecosystems work and challenge the way they think about traditional gardening. My students will also learn about the importance of caring for a pet.

By supporting this project, you are helping to infuse science into our core curriculum while nurturing the minds of future scientists, horticulturists, and educators, to name a few. More importantly, you'll be giving my students memories that last a lifetime!
