My students are high energy 5 and 6 year old kids who love learning! They attend a low-income school, where the standards are set high. Our school qualifies for 100% free and reduced lunch. My students strive to do their best every day.
They love to learn and explore so many new things.
I love to see how excited my students are at school. I want to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that they can take with them for years to come. Our school is a high-performing, Title 1 kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school in Nevada.
My Project
Kindergarten is a time when minds are so interested in the world. In the spring, we dive into the world of plants! We learn about the life cycle, we plant our own seeds that we take home to hopefully take care of and grow our own food from, and we explore our school's outdoor garden.
Wouldn't it be exciting to grow our own plants in the classroom?
We can watch the plants daily, journal and measure the changes, and even take some of the food home to share with families. Hopefully students will grow to love plants as much as I do.
