Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are truly exceptional! They work hard to succeed. They persevere when faced with a challenge, creatively inspire our community, and believe in one another. They are tomorrow's leaders and world-changers. They are our future and together we can help them reach their dreams. A full 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. They come to a low-income Title I school every day where resources are very limited. Some of our students are unable to purchase supplies and the school is only able to do so much with the budget they have. Our students strive to do their best!

My students are energetic, smart, and motivated to succeed.

Our garden program has really grown. We are trying to enhance our butterfly habitat and are planting milkweed inside to transplant in the Spring. In order to do this successfully we need a greenhouse, lights, and plant drip trays as well as watering cans. We have had successes and failures and they are all about taking care of their little plants. These supplies will continue to help our students learn math, science, nutrition, and plant life cycle. We are in a low-income community and could really use support with funding this project.
