My Students

I am the teacher of 22 high achieving students who are eager to learn every single day. Their smiling faces greet me at the door every morning and they motivate me to be the best teacher that I can be.

We are an incredibly diverse group of students who do not let our differences ever hold us back.

We are located in a low income school so resources can be scarce at certain points and times. Our goal is to learn something new every single day.

My Project

My project involves getting students the leveled readers for their Daily 5 book boxes to help them become successful readers. My students have a book bag designating their reading level. Therefore, they are able to select books according to their level without the help of a teacher.

My students would absolutely love to be able to choose their own book on their grade level each day to practice fluency and comprehension.

I have never met children so excited about reading!

Having a variety of leveled books in my classroom would make learning so much fun and really help engage those students who are striving to learn to become a better reader!
