My Project

Our classroom will be spending the end of the school year learning about gardening and how things grow. This is a way for children to see how their learning experience has been one like a plant or flower. They start out the year as a seed and with love and knowledge they have grown into wonderful flowers.

The materials within this project (gardening supplies, kinetic sand, etc.) will be used within play centers and to create take home plants.

Students will have these materials to play with a create gardens and plant real flowers. They will be able to use these materials over the 8 week lesson about gardening and all those things that may be found within a healthy garden.

Growing is part of a school experience and when children learn through play, it can be something that they enjoy and look forward to doing for many years to come. These preK children are a special part of our school community because they have an new outlook on school and have the opportunity to flourish if they enjoy their learning environment.
