My Students

Dream Big! That is a motto that my school and especially the first graders strive for. Coming into 1st grade, their brains are ready to grow and they have an undeniable enthusiasm for school!

They strive everyday to be their best selves.

And being in the Crown Heights area and in a Title 1 school, they need the resources to help them do just that. Now is the time to help them achieve their goals and identify themselves as readers!

My Project

I am requesting 4 sets of leveled books (A-D) that will benefit the my classroom library. Especially for my lower readers, there are currently not enough texts for them to choose from. By having more leveled texts in their classroom library, my students will have more books they can be exposed to. As they shop for books, they will have access to more books of different genres and that fit their interest.

By donating to this project, you will be helping to generate a love of reading!

Attaining these books will go a long way in ensuring my students build and maintain this all-important interest. These books will help my students be more eager to read, which will in turn help them practice key strategies that will enable them to grow in reading levels. I thank you in advance for your desire to make a difference!
