This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Your support in providing high-interest books for my students will make a lasting impact on their lives. As young English language learners, many of my students come from homes with limited access to books and minimal literacy support. These engaging, age-appropriate books will captivate their curiosity, helping them develop crucial reading skills while fostering a love for learning. By offering materials that are relatable and exciting, we can create a positive reading experience that empowers them to grow academically and personally. Your contribution will help my students build confidence and a strong foundation in literacy.

The books I’m requesting will play a vital role in our daily learning routines.

They will be used for interactive read-alouds to build listening and comprehension skills, during independent reading time to foster a sense of ownership over their literacy journey, and in small group reading instruction to provide targeted support. Additionally, these books will be available for students to take home, allowing them to share the joy of reading with their families, further reinforcing literacy skills and creating a strong home-to-school connection.
