Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are planning a garden party to invite their parents to in order to celebrate learning about planting but also how much they have grown as well. This party will take place the last week of school. At the party students will showcase the planting experiments we've been doing in class, displaying a garden mural they have created with life size plants and animals that are found in gardens and engaging in more garden themed activities.

We're showcasing growing plants and growing preschoolers into Kindergarteners!

Our preschoolers have been working hard all year and have developed to have the skills for Kindergarten. With your donations funding this party children will create a garden themed snack of worms in the dirt and sit on towels to eat picnic style with our families amongst our garden. Children will play with bubbles running and laughing amongst the plants. And they will create one final planting project decorating a pot and planting a sunflower seed. This party will end the year with positive feelings of moving on to Kindergarten and give families the opportunity to engage with teachers and students in celebration.
