A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Curious, creative, caring and fun are a few words to describe our students. This past year we started a kindness rocks project at our elementary school. Students became curious and creative problem solvers when our paint didn't quite adhere to our rocks and collaboratively we persisted and demonstrated grit to find ways to make this project work. Students loved creating their encouraging designs on the rocks and had so much fun hiding these rocks for others to find. Love them!
My Project
As Confucius said, "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." A Ukulele lab will provide an opportunity for our students to learn multiple skills available to help them succeed in school now and for the rest of their lives. Our school embraces the concepts from 7 Mindsets: Passion First, 100% Accountable, The Time Is Now, Attitude of Gratitude, Live to Give, Everything Is Possible and We Are Connected. Students will be able to connect each of the mindsets to learning how to play the Ukulele. The Ukulele lab will help to foster attitudes to try new things, develop grit, help others, share their talents all while enhancing their prior listening skills, focus, self-regulation and having fun. The Ukulele exudes fun.
