My Project

Helping my students have the best educational experience is a priority of mine. I want all of my students to learn and grow by using the best practices that work for them.

With the impact of severe weather in our area, our school garden area is in need of a lot of TLC!

For this project, I am requesting raised flower beds, buckets as planters, soil, seed, and tools for planting vegetables and flowers that the students will care for. Our students and parents will also be able to take fresh vegetables home when our plants are ready. Before the impact of the weather, we had used our garden as a place students couldn’t learn and grow. I am hoping that by revitalizing our garden area my students will learn not only gardening skills, but self-discipline, exploratory, and collaborative skills by working with others. This will be a special place for my students and our community when it is restored.
