My Students

I teach a Special Day Class in a Title I school where the majority of my students come from a low socio-economic background. My amazing students are in Transitional Kinder and Kinder and they are on the autism spectrum. They are fun, loving, and unique however, they have a hard time communicating their needs. They are visual learners and respond well to hands on and engaging activities.

I look forward to witnessing their growth every single day!

My Project

All of my students are visual learners. Therefore, these classroom materials will help my students with autism continue to grow and learn in a fun and inviting classroom! These educational tools will help my students expand on their skills in counting and sorting. My students will also benefit from these educational tools because they will have visual cards that will help them learn their sounds and blending. With these tools I can help capture and maintain their attention at all times. By incorporating these interactive learning materials in lessons my students will continue to look forward to engaging and hands on activities.
