My students need practice pinnies more than anything. I have been coaching them for over 10 years and have had to come out of my own pocket for pinnies and gloves.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is a Title 1 school in North Carolina and the majority of the students are Black and Hispanic. Most of the students show pride in their school and want to be seen in a positive way. Years ago the school was looked at in a negative way after a judge threatened to shut down the school if the test scores didn't improve. The test scores have since improved and the staff and students are doing all that we can to improve the reputation of our school.
My Project
With these materials my student athletes can feel prideful about the sport that they play and the team that they play with. Women's soccer is at non revenue sports at our school and we are trying to change that! With these materials the team can practice without home-made pinnies and without the coach spending her own money to provide the team with the necessary materials.
With these extra materials I feel it will bring pride, confidence, and growth within the team.
Growing student athlete's is the goal of our team and these materials can help us to accomplish this goal.
