My Project

I truly believe children are our future and it is our job to pour into them and allow them to grow into their best selves. The students I work with sometimes need an escape from being at school all day and I want our classroom to be comforting and welcoming to them. I want to create a comforting, calm down area for them to decompress safely inside the class.

I want to allow my first graders to be unapologetically themselves.

The theme for our classroom will be growing our minds. Everything surrounding us will play on that, from our calm down area to our morning meeting calendar and rug seating area.
