This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The classroom I work in is a special classroom and I love my students every year. I work in the kindergarten ASD Nest Dual Language program. Is an inclusion classroom composed of 4 students with Autism and the rest of the students are general education students? The purpose of the program and classroom is for all the students to access the curriculum despite their different learning styles and needs. Is also a program that supports students with Autism with social and pragmatic skills. While these supports are implemented, it is a dual language classroom whose focus consists of developing a second language by giving students all the necessary resources to help them become bilingual and bi-literate. But furthermore, to help them feel proud of learning more than one language and teach them how this makes them unique! The tools I have chosen for my classroom, I know will further support my students' development in learning Spanish. And help my students that need sitting support during circle time, to focus and feel comfortable while learning.
