My Project

In my community, many of my students have a high Body Mass Index since they have limited access to fresh vegetables and fruits.

The raised garden beds will give them the opportunity to eat unprocessed food that is a delicious and healthy alternative.

My students will be able to take their organic vegetables and fruits home to share with their communities. They will be planting fruits and vegetables that are reflective of their cultures, like chili peppers, lentils, eggplants and tomatoes. They are serving their communities because they are learning how to grow healthy, non-GMO, unprocessed foods in small containers.
