My Project

I have some amazing third graders this year. However, many struggle with self esteem and anxiety. One way we have worked to combat that is by growing our gratitude. We are searching for the good in the world and seeing that there is hope.

I want my students to remember to look for the good this summer even when I can't guide them daily at school.

This journal will allow each student to continue to practice growing their gratitude throughout the summer and sneak in a little writing practice.

My students come from a Title 1 school. Many of them are faced with struggles each day. Not only will this be an item that each student can own and cherish, but it will also hopefully be a continuous encouragement.
