Help me give my students the materials to create and sell sustainable soaps, candles, and microgreens—teaching them real-world skills in agriculture, business, and economics through hands-on learning at our Maker Fair and Farmers Market.
Our students are passionate about learning real-world skills through hands-on experiences in agriculture and business. This project will support their participation in our Maker Fair and Farmers Market Sale, where they will apply agriculture sales, economics, and business principles while creating and marketing sustainable products.
Through this project, students will combine math, science, and entrepreneurship to develop products, calculate costs and profits, and market their goods.
Your support will help us provide these young agripreneurs with hands-on experiences that prepare them for careers in agriculture, sustainability, and business.
We are requesting materials to make sustainable soaps and candles, allowing students to explore product development, pricing strategies, and eco-friendly business practices. To enhance their microgreen production, we need materials for proper container drainage to ensure high-quality, non-soggy greens. Additionally, we require shelving units and display props to set up a professional and inviting sales space for their market booth.
They will donate the profits from their sales to the local food cooperative, making this a social enterprise.
