My Students

I always begin my day by saying, Welcome to Class 101, where learning is fun! It truly has been such a wonderful fun filled adventure teaching my little scholars. I miss experiencing their excitement now that we are separated.

The physical distance and inability to guide them through a lesson is one of the most challenging aspects to this new reality.

I am fortunate to teach English Language Learners (ELL's) because they bring such a rich culturally dynamic experiences, but remote learning is very challenging for them because many of their parents are also learning English and how to manipulate our new computer software. Our greatest hurdle is not being together to model how to work with in the platforms our work is found in.

My Project

With the help of your generous donation, I will be able to spark my 1st graders attention and continue to grow their learning. I will be able to set up the computer and use the backdrop to allow my scholars to see me LIVE! With this equipment, I will be to import them using the backdrop into the places we will study. We will literally be able to turn our homes into a passport of learning.

My active learners will be able to observe our garden come to life, and use the math manipulatives to liven up our math lessons.
