Help Ms. R.

I teach a full-day, self-contained preschool in a public, elementary school outside New Orleans. We are rebuilding our program after our school was destroyed by tornadoes from Hurricane Katrina. Children in my class get a variety of experiences to foster their natural curiosity. Now is the perfect time for them to learn to care for plants and growing things. I would like to get a grow-light system so that we can start seeds and seedlings inside our classroom to transplant into our school garden. I would like to get a plant light house with a high-intensity fluorescent bulb and a "Seed Mysteries" activity kit. The activity kit provides all materials needed for 8 different lessons about seeds and how they grow. Children grow best in an environment which provides all the things they need: lots of love, good nutrition, and the wide-open world to explore. Seeds, plants, and gardens are a natural part of that.
