Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I would love to give my students the opportunity to have access to these supplemental materials. Unfortunately, our school's resources are limited and can barely cover the basics.

My students are a wonderful group of kids who love learning about everything, but are especially excited about math and science.

They are very dedicated and always try their best. They attend an inner city school in California that receives Tittle I services. For most of them, English is their second language.

My Project

My students are eager and curious about learning. They especially love investigating and exploring. Because they are so excited about science, I would love to give them the opportunity to learn all about how plants grow, the parts of a plant, their importance in our everyday life, and how to grow and take care of their own plants. I would also like for them to learn about the importance of plants in our environment.

Having these materials would enable my students to explore plants by looking at and manipulating the models.

The hands-on science materials will allow them to have firsthand experience by planting, growing, and taking care of their own plants. I would love for them to develop a love and respect for nature, our environment and our planet.
