My Project

Starting a community garden is important for 7th graders because it fosters responsibility, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

Through hands-on learning, students apply science, math, and problem-solving skills while gaining a deeper understanding of plant life and sustainability.

Gardening promotes healthy eating habits, physical activity, and mindfulness, contributing to overall well-being. It also strengthens social connections as students collaborate and take pride in their work.

Overcoming challenges like plant care and weather conditions builds resilience. Most importantly, a community garden empowers students to positively impact their school and local environment, creating a lasting appreciation for nature and community service.

Dr. Nelson will only receive their materials if this project is fully funded by June 26.
