This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have already started building this area in my classroom for students to gather and brainstorm as a group. I have some comfortable chairs already, and I want to add another. Giving the students professional-style desk chairs empowers them and motivates them to use the area as a group. The chargers and surge protector with the extension cord will allow them to charge their technology while sitting comfortably as a group.

My class is ESL History.

My students need to have a safe space to speak to each other and practice their English. Students will use this area to work on group projects and relax when they have completed their assignments.

This area contains bookshelves filled with books. Students will use the area to read quietly and search the books for information.
