My Project

Physical therapy helps meet students' physical, sensory and educational needs! I am an Physical Therapist in a school setting. This year, we have a new Kindergarten class for children with Autism. My wonderful students have various physical weaknesses that make it difficult for them to access their school environment. They require ongoing gross motor training to help them keep up with their peers.

Students participate better in Physical Therapy when the exercises are presented as fun and non-threatening.

The Skillastics Fitivities game will give my students a fun game experience while working on various strengthening exercises. The obstacle course set and the monster feet stilts will help my younger students improve their balance and bilateral coordination skills. The Crocodile Fun Hop game will excite my kindergarten students while enhancing their jumping and hopping skills. Lastly, the strengthening fun deck will give all of my students choices of exercises to enhance their overall physical functioning in a fun way.

Please help me give my students the gross motor exercises they need to help them fully access their school environment, along with the rest of their peers.
