Help Mrs. Lochel

I teach an eager group of 21 first grade students in a great area of South Carolina. Our neighborhood school is a supportive and encouraging environment that has high expectations for all children that enter.

One unit that my first grade students are particularly fond of is plant life. They love to learn about how plants are living things that grow and change...but we simply do not have the resources to show the children first hand!

Sure, we can go outside and observe various forms of plant life, but it's just not the same as seeing the life cycle from seed to full grown plant. With this classroom growing kit and greenhouse, the students would be able to experience the process first hand with many different types of seeds. Children need to see how different plants are grown and how this relates to our economy on a larger scale like how farmer's grow food for us to eat.

By supporting this project, you will be directly making a difference in the lives of 21 bright 1st graders. They are the gardeners, planters, and farmers of our future. Help start them off right by funding this important project.
