My Project

Thanks to your incredible support, our “Green Thumbs Grow” students have begun their journey to become plant enthusiasts.

I hope this letter finds you well.

My name is Deborah Herring, and I am a special education learning support teacher and the coordinator of “Green Thumbs Grow” in Philadelphia. Our after-school program engages students in hands-on learning experiences in plant biology, sustainable gardening, and entrepreneurship.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, we have recently received two greenhouses that will allow us to expand our program and cultivate a thriving learning environment for our students. This spring, we are focusing on a more limited but high-quality selection of plants to ensure that students gain in-depth knowledge of plant care and business operations.

As we gear up for the new growing season, we are seeking additional donations to help us purchase essential materials for our greenhouse operations. These contributions will enable our students to grow plants and reinforce lessons in sustainability. We would greatly appreciate any support you can provide in plant donations. Your generosity will have a direct impact on our students' education and growth, fostering a love for nature and practical skills for the future.
