My Project

My students need these supplies to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma requirements. We will learn about the history of using clay to create vessels. We will compare clay vessels created in China, Africa, and Greece. After our study, students will learn techniques of hand building and create their own unique vessels.

Students will create their own unique clay vessels and decorate them with patterns and designs.

Students will exhibit our vessels for the school and families to view and celebrate with us. Students will also write about their experiences to increase their abilities to reflect upon the artist choices they have made.

Ms. Lane Thomas Jefferson High School Grades 9-12
