My Students

Hi there! A typical day in my classroom is always an adventure. I have a total of 85 students who come from a variety of different backgrounds. During ELA, we try to make the lessons fun and enjoyable. My biggest challenge with my students is their reading levels. I hope to raise their scores!

My students are a gift from heaven.

They have the most amazing personalities and there is nothing that they can't do once they put their minds to it! ELA is our adventure class where the students can let their imaginations run wild, all while learning and having fun! My school is very structured with how the lessons need to be taught, but a little creativity never hurt anyone!

My Project

My students have a project going on called the Greek Myths Presentation. Each group from each class received a classic myth and is required to research it and become a part of the myth. Their project requires a 4 quadrant poster that includes the myth in their own words, the characters and their identities, a visual image either drawn or sketched as a scene from the myth or symbol represented, and the 4th square represents the ELA portion and how the myth is connected to the Key Elements of Mythology. The students have the chance to present in front of the school and to dress up as their god or goddess, perform a skit, or just recite their myth with their own imaginative and creative minds! I am requesting the construction paper, colored pencils, and glitter so the students can decorate their posters and make them more unique with their own ideas. Many of my students cannot afford regular pencils which is why I added them as well. Every little bit helps!

Donations to this project will make a huge difference and my students will not have to stress about who made the better poster.

Some of my students are less fortunate and each child should get a chance to create a beautiful poster that expresses their own creativity and imagination without limitations. My students are amazing, and anything that I can do to help their lives be a little easier is what's the right thing to do.
