Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students and I are in a challenging time, like most students in our country now! I am a teacher in a low-income / high poverty school district, where our students encounter many different challenges, both in and out of the classroom.

I teach a 3rd grade bilingual class in a Title I school in Houston, Texas.

My students come from low-income families and have diverse learning styles. I am committed to creating an environment where all my students feel engaged and focused during their learning and have minimal distractors. I want to provide all my students with the best tools possible to keep them organized even when we are learning from a distance!

My Project

My students are in need of basic school supplies to help them start their new school year. This new year, we will be learning / teaching all subjects; to stay organized, I have requested binders and paper and dividers to have all that we need in one place together, all organized.

These supplies will also be beneficial to bring once face-to-face instruction begins.

These are uncertain times; however, with some encouragement and basic supplies provided, I am sure my students will start the school year on the right track.
