As we prepare to start the 24-25 school year we are looking for new books to add to our shelves. Some of the requested books are the next in the series or new books from favorite authors that we would love to add to our collection.
My students love a good graphic novel and books with characters from their country as the main characters.
Some of my fourth and fifth-grade students have gone through many of my books and will be looking for new books when they return this year. Many of my Pakistani girls found and loved the books written by Pakistani authors last year. They kept asking if there were any more like those they loved, so one of my goals was to find and add more to our library. Many of my students are willing to read about history and science when presented in a graphic novel so I found a couple of great series, Science Comics, History Smashers, and History Comics.
