This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a very high needs school in the Bronx. We have limited access to learning tools and books. I am looking for ways to make learning more accessible to my students. My students are in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom. They are an exciting group of mixed interest, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are reading above their grade level and others are struggling to sound out words and make meaning of what they are reading. My goal, as a teacher, is to meet students where they are and motivate them to go above and beyond.
These projects will allow me to bring exciting and educational projects to the families in our school community to foster the love of learning and expose them to new ideas.
With your help, I can make my students more well rounded.
My Project
The Great Leaps program is a program that believes in empowering students in Mathematics with confidence and competency regardless of their academic challenges.
Help boost students to feel more confident and positive about their Mathematic skills!
I have heard about and seen the program in "action" and have watched students who refused to complete their math assignment or raise their hand in math class, show improvement. This project will support students through work in Numeration, Addition and Mixed Facts, Subtraction, and so much more. Please help me support students and increase their love of Math.
