Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school library serves a vibrant and diverse student population, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students from various cultural backgrounds. We aim to enrich our library collection with graphic novels that reflect the diversity of our students' experiences and foster a love for reading. Graphic novels are a powerful tool for engaging reluctant readers, supporting literacy development, and promoting cultural understanding.

With your support, we can provide our students with access to high-quality graphic novels that inspire creativity and critical thinking.

Above all, we want to increase overall reading engagement and motivation among our students.

We need more materials that will improve our reading comprehension, be culturally relevant and support our many Multi Language Learners and students with special needs.
