Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There is something special about picking up a good book and losing yourself in the story. Although technology is an incredible tool, nothing beats flipping the pages, going back to the pictures and rereading favorite parts no matter where you are without having to worry about Wi-Fi or low battery life. I would love to be able to provide that opportunity for my students.

My hope is that by providing a variety of books that feature the characters they love and are familiar with, it will motivate them to want to pick up a book and practice the skills that they've learned and read more.

My current library does not offer many choices of the books they seem to like.

Students are always asking if there are other books with these beloved characters. I believe if they are asking about books, there is a spark of interest to read. I would love to begin stocking my library with these funny, loveable books for my students.
