Help me give my students a way to relate to terms we encounter when studying our Physics unit. These Gravitrax kits help kids to learn hands on the effect of gravity, momentum, and friction.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are curious young people who ask questions about everything. These students are very creative and competitive in nature. They are digital natives and are quick learners with anything digital and often end up teaching their teachers how to use the apps or resources embedded in their lessons.
They love to collaborate as well as create experiments to investigate the world around them.
These creative souls are participants in our school's push for more creation over consumption. They really have a strong love of science and are craving more hands-on activities to quench their thirst for knowledge about the world around them.
These students are all on different levels and require differentiated tasks to meet their individual needs. They all have the capability for growth and are willing participants in their learning!
My Project
Students in my classes spend time learning about the forces on Earth and the effect they have on motion. They can visualize building rollercoasters when learning about terms such as gravity from a free falling car, momentum when the cars need a boost up the hills, and friction and resistance with the quick stop at the end of the rollercoaster. For some learners visualizing is enough.
However, my students are hands-on learners who learn best when they are given opportunities to create and recreate with their own two hands.
My students are highly interested in science and thrive when they are able to perform investigations where they can construct and test their theories and hypotheses. The Gravitrax system and expansion sets allow students to explore physic concepts by designing, building, and testing marble runs that mimic real life roller coasters. The awesome thing about Gravitrax is that students won't even realize they are learning when they are building because the kits have that built into the creation. Gravitrax also allow you to expand and learn extended learning skills that can be applied to their understanding of Newton's Laws of Motion.
