My Students

This year our wonderful NYC students in our schools Integrated Collaborative Team Teaching class will be learning about ancient civilizations in our history class. Our class is comprised of general education students, students with disabilities including but not limited to ADD/ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Disabilities/ Delays, Emotional and Social Challenges, as well as students with Autism in our NEST Program for high functioning students with Autism.

With your support we can help provide additional resources to help our students maximize their educational opportunities and potential.

Your donation will support their eagerness to be a part of an amazing classroom and learning experience. We are seeking support from DonorsChoose to help our students shine and inspire them with fun and innovative learning opportunities.

My Project

We are so excited to be teaching such an amazing group of students this year. This year we have 6th grade social studies wherein our curriculum covers ancient civilizations. Approaching this with a combined 30 years in education, my co-teacher and I have found that a hands on and interactive approach is best for our students.

Our students need attention grabbing activities to keep them engaged and motivated to learn.

After all, we are competing with video games and cell phones! We take pride in our work and our development of lessons. Especially the ones when our students get to take the lead on learning!
