Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Responsible. Kind. And independent. Those are just some attributes of my high school math scholars. They attend a low-income Title I school and still persevere through the many obstacles they face daily. These students are special to me because they inspire me to be the best version of myself everyday.

My Project

Graphing Notebooks are a huge help in rigorous math classes such as the ones my students are in. To be successful in high school mathematics students are required to be organized, neat, and have reliable notes. This is why the addition of a class set of graphing notebooks would make a BIG difference in the lives of my students. They will be a place where mistakes are made, exploring is encouraged, and learning is a must. Right now, getting ahold of a graphing notebook is difficult for my students and most just show up with loose sheets of paper. These notebooks would be a note takers dream and would be put to great use.
