Help me give my students new, engaging graphic novels to revitalize our classroom library. We need books like the "Becoming RGB" graphic novel and the new "Miles Morales."
My students are amazing! They come with tenacity, creativity, and a wide variety of experiences and gifts. We work hard every day as scholars, artists, critical thinkers, and friends. Together we imagine new possibilities for our community, our country, and the world.
At our school, 96% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 92% of the students are students of color.
My students have come from many different parts of the world including Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ethiopia, Somalia, and the United States. The majority of my students are learning English as a second or third language.
My students are the engineers, pilots, dentists, poets, and architects of the future. These students have the capacity to achieve greatness.
My Project
My students love getting lost in a book. My students need a vibrant, modern, and engaging classroom library. We are on our way to becoming great readers and your support is crucial to that goal. The more than 30 graphic novels in this project are going to have such a big impact on my students, including "Plants vs Zombies" and "Becoming RGB," books I know my students will enjoy.
Books transport us to new worlds and give us new dreams to chase.
"A book is a dream you hold in your hand," Neil Gaiman. My students are absolutely in love with books, and we need to keep building our classroom library. These books will be a perfect addition. Thank you for considering our project!
