Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright and full of life! My students readily seize daily opportunities to learn. They do not let challenges stand in their way. Attending a neighborhood school, my students are nearly always present. They are incredibly dedicated to their learning opportunities.

I love all of the things that make my students unique, but those circumstances come with some added needs.

We are so thankful that people want to support our learning!

My Project

Students will have access to reading at various levels in order to supplement their ELA learning. These books will provide examples of perseverance and strength in the most difficult circumstances. These novels will be used for, essays and creative projects.

All students deserve the opportunity to read a book they enjoy.

These diverse books will enrich students' experience in the classroom by providing them the opportunity to build reading skills through reading interesting narratives. They will think critically and build new knowledge which is incredibly important during these times of uncertainty. Many of my students have expressed that they do not have books at home and would sincerely benefit from having their own to read.
