As a third grade teacher, I have the opportunity to witness my students blossoming as readers. Most of my students enter 3rd grade reading picture books and slowly begin to transition into reading longer novels. I have found graphic novels to be just what they need to build the confidence they need as they make this transition.
Graphic novels allow my students to spend more time reading while still enjoying high-quality text and fun illustrations to guide their understanding.
Graphic novels would make a great addition to our classroom library.
