My Project

Our student body is incredibly diverse. They are looking for books whose authors and characters represent the way they experience the world. They want to stock our shelves with graphic novels with a variety of stories and and characters that reflect their own lived experiences.

Our students need a collection of graphic novels written by diverse authors to give them a variety of reading texts.

Graphic novels make reading more accessible for many of our students who struggle to engage with grade-level texts. These books reflect the culture and lived life experiences of the students in our school, and give them a variety of reading materials for our classroom library.
