My Project

The Whole Language Approach initiated several years ago in public schools across the nation, along with the texting revolution has helped to create a young society of students that don't know the basic grammar rules of their Grandparents and even parents. I would like to use these books to teach basic grammar rules that I will incorporate into my World History classes, Oklahoma History classes as well as my Native American classes. I feel that just 15 minutes a day of incorporating grammar and vocabulary words will enable the students to be able to write correctly, use adjectives and adverbs, and the various phrases in grammar.

Grammar skills have fallen by the wayside and need to be risen to the top tier of education.

Most students will be relieved to do something besides read, answer questions, and use map skills. This will interest them and they will learn valuable skills while learning about the history of our past times.

I will use these books for years to come and hopefully needed grammar skills will be evident in the speaking and writings my students for years to come. Thank you for your consideration and approval of my request.
