My Students

Have you ever spent a day in a kindergarten classroom? It is a fun, busy and messy place to be! My students have the best time creating different projects but do not have any space to store their creations. We need some space to turn in our work and let masterpieces dry without getting trampled.

Our school is one of the first in our area that includes students of all abilities in a single classroom.

Students who develop typically, students with special needs and students who are gifted, learn side-by-side, with each other and from each other. All of our students are resilient individuals that, despite their differences, make our school a welcoming community.

My Project

With the turn-it-in storage space and drying rack we will save time and tears. Our students will be able to create a piece of work, however big or small, and have a place to keep it safe and dry. Often students' work can get damaged from laying on the floor and tables in our small classroom. Students will also benefit from a neat and organized place to turn in their completed work. Having moved into a smaller classroom, my students’ and I are often moving work around the classroom to find a place to complete our next task. While the students are great helping hands, it will save us valuable teaching time if we eliminate the shuffling around the room.

For students of all abilities, demonstrating responsibility is crucial for maintaining a thriving learning environment.

When the classroom is organized and the students demonstrate pride and responsibility; our learning environment will have no boundaries. These simple tools can make this happen.
